Single Journey Ticket
	1. This ticket is valid for a single journey and fare depends upon chosen destination. (Now starting at 15 up to 40 Baht per journey). 2. Ticket will be retained at the exit gate. 3. All Single-Journey Tickets are purchased at Ticket Issuing Machines (TIM) and Integrated Ticketing Machines (ITM) 4. Valid for date of purchase only.

Ticket Usage
1. Purchase a ticket from the Ticket Issuing Machine or ticket office.
2. To enter the the skytrain system, insert the ticket into the entry gate and be sure to hold on to it - you will need it to exit.
3. To exit, insert the ticket into the exit gate. The Single - Journey Ticket will be taken; the Stored-Value Ticket will be returned to commuters for future rides.

Conditions of Use
Sky SmartPass
- Any value remaining over 2 years date of issue of last refill, or last use of travel, cannot be exchanged for cash or other services of any kind.
- 5 years Cared Life starts from date of issue.
- Value on Passes may be refilled at anytime. The minimum value that may be added is 100 Baht and maximum stored value (including deposit) must not exceed 2,000 Baht.

30-Day SmartPass
- Trip on passes valid for 30 days - Unlimited travel distance for number of trips specified
- Passes should be used within 45 days from date of issue or trips refilled, after which any remaining trips be automatically cancelled. New trips must then be added to validate a pass for further travel.
- 5 Year Card life starts from date of issue. Cards may be refilled with trips after the first has been used, or validity expires, upon promotion as specified by the Company regulations.
- Passes are non-refundable.
- BTS 30-Day Students SmartPasses may only be used by current fulltime students, aged not over 23 years, according to date of birth on Citizen ID and currently studying at an academic institution in Thailand, or studying in a foreign country at an academic institution recognized by Ministry of Education. Student ID and Citizen ID must be presented upon request by BTS Staff. Misuse of pass, or abuse of pass conditions, will result in forfeiture of the pass, together with any remaining value, In addition, a fine not exceeding 20 times the maximum fare, will be imposed.
- For the convenience of passengers, ID cards are not required to be shown when purchasing passes. Checking the remaining value
The current value of any stored value or concession ticket can be checked at any BTS ticket office. Also when exiting the gateway the remaining value will show on a display located on top of the gate.

Refunding tickets
1. SJT Tickets : If a passenger purchases a ticket and is within the system less than 5 minutes or does not enter the system and decides not to travel an immediate cash refund can be obtained by applying at the BTS Station Ticket Office at the station where the ticket was purchased. An immediate cash refund can also be obtained in case of train delay.
2. Concession Tickets : These tickets are non refundable.
3. Sky Card : If no value or negative value remains on a Sky Card ticket a cash refund of net ticket value (30 baht - negative value) can be obtained immediately at any Station Ticket Office. If there is value remaining on the ticket and the passenger wants a refund then the passenger must request a refund envelope at any BTS Station Ticket Office. It is then necessary to fill in the required information, insert the ticket to be refunded into the envelope and return it back to the Station Ticket Office. The refund envelope's stub will be returned to the passenger for reference. A refund in the form of a check will be available in two weeks time. Passengers requesting a refund will be notified by telephone when their refund check is ready. Refund checks can be picked up at the station where the refund envelope was submitted.

Additional privilege:
1. Children who is not more than 14 years old and is not more than 90 cm. tall will be entitled to the free ride.
2. Passenger aged 60 years old and over to those turning 60 during the promotion period will be entitled to the discount rate given to elder.

Condition of using Student card:
The person who has the right to use student card must be aged not over 23 years old by the birth date and be a student of any education institution (School, Learning center, College, University or any other government or private entity charged with providing The person using student card must be present student ID and citizen ID or other ID card issued by any other authority which can show his or her age upon requested by BMCL officer. If the person cannot present both ID card or not qualified by the condition above, BMCL reserves the right to impose a penalty by not exceed 20 times of maximum fare charged by BMCL at that specific time.

The MRT Bangkok Metro Underground

The 'impossible' became a reality in April 2004. It had taken seven years to build, comprising 21 kilometers of bored tunnels, with 18 simultaneously-built stations, using top-down techniques up to 30 meters deep under the city's major roads. The cost was approximately US$ 2.75 billion.

Officially called the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and in Thai as rot fai fah mahanakhon ("metropolitan electric train") or more often as the rot fai tai din ("underground train") the line operates from 5am to midnight, and extends in a wide loop from the main railway station of Hualumpong, then tracks back via the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre to the smaller rail station of Bang Sue (pronounce Seu) to the north.

It has interchanges with the Skytrain at Si Lom, Sukhumvit and Chatuchak Park stations. To protect against periodic flooding, station entrances are elevated above ground, and equipped with built-in floodgates. To prevent accidents and suicides, a glassed-in Automatic Platform Screen Door separates the platform and track, and opens only when the trains pull in and stop. All stations feature lifts and ramps for disabled people.

As with the Skytrain, there are a number of ticket types, which only need to be held close to the ticket barriers to operate them, thanks to a proximity sensor. Tokens are used for single journeys. An unlimited 1 day go-as-you please travel ticket currently costs Baht 120. A joint ticketing system for the Subway and Skytrain is planned.

Park & Ride Building and Parking Area are provided by Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA). MRT Passengers can get the parking fee’s discount by presenting the parking smart card on its reader at the alighting MRT Station.

Condition:
1. Park & Ride Building and Parking Area are serviced from 5.00 - 1.00 am. If non-MRT passengers park over specified time,they have to pay charges of 1,000 Baht/day while MRT passengers pay charges of 300 Baht/day.
2. In term of MRT passengers have lost their parking smart card, they have to pay charge 300 Baht and declare ownership reference before departing.
3. Driving within Park & Ride Building and Parking area has to follow the rules of ministerial regulation B.E.2547
4. Parking within prohibited area is not allowed unless your tide will be locked and you have to pay charge 1,000 Baht/time.
