This outdoor area a stones throw from the easy accessible BTS has a wide selection of chill out bars to choose from. In the centre lies a huge Korean style BBQ. A very cheap option at 99bht per person for all you can eat, Surrounding the rows of picnic tables are lines of small, friendly bars. Often with varying themes. Many regulars return here night after night due to the warm vibes and homely feel. Coco Beach is among the favorites tucked away at the back on the left hand side. Offers a refreshing change with a beach style decor, it's a nice break out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Further down the road lies The Rock Pub, for anyone into some guitar solos and some heavy drum beats. Very affordable area as it's a popular spot for the young Thai's. A great place for some cheap eats and chilled out drinking evening with friends. Be warned, you may not stumble home until 4am.

Pricing: Moderate 808 club is easy to spot due to its big mirrored exterior. The insides are unique with old school leather chairs on both floors. The top floor offers a good view of people having fun on the floor below. Caters for smokers with a separate smoke-filled area upstairs to compensate the lack of any outdoor seating.

Opening Hours: Daily from 09.00 pm. - 02.00 am. A quieter, more laid back choice than a lot of the places on RCA. This casual bar has a pool table and attracts a lot of the local Thai's into the alternative scene. Live bands play most nights. Great for starting drinks & snacks. However, if you meet a nice crowd, you may end up there until 2am!

Opening Hours: Daily from 07.00 pm. - 02.00 am. Cross the road from RCA entrance and you will find an alternative option. The interior is something to comment on. Not banal wallpaper, splashes of gold highlights the lobby & spaceship-style DJ booth fills the picture. Less crowded at weekends than RCA, Baroque attracts a wider spread of ages from university students to people in their 50's looking to dance the night away.

Opening Hours: Daily from 08.30 pm. - 02.00 am. Ratchada Soi 4 is a collection of several dozen music pubs very popular with 20-something Thais. The music is often too loud, but that seems to be the main attraction. The main clubs here include :
Snop: The largest and most popular of the Soi 4 clubs. A great place to see local nightlife and hear Thai bands.
Zaleng: A great and very popular place for a fun night out. Ratchada Soi 6 Is a hot spot of late for local teens. Not a single venue, but a collection of several dozen large clubs.
Dance Fever: Has previously hosted concerts by Erasure and Bush.
Hollywood: A large drinking hall (no dance floor) with sexy entertainers performing cover tunes on stage.

Cha-Bar Pub offers live music and music mixed by a DJ. “Petty Sunday” show confusingly takes place on every Friday night. The pub is located nearby the Chatuchak market. Take the MRT to Kampangphet Station (Exit 1)

This large and vibrant restaurant and brewery is popular with both local people and Westerners as it serves reasonably priced meals and draught beer. This is a fun and friendly atmosphere in which to relax and unwind in and as well as traditional Thai treats the menu boasts a wide range of Western favourites such as burgers, fries and baguettes.
